# Explanation
Evtl. Pelampas, vor allem Solo, nur ein Footwork Drill um den Gelek einzuprügeln?
This is one of the Basic Partner Drills and contains the 2 Basic Single-Hand Answers/Principles [[Pass]], [[Backhand]]) versus an [[Chamber 1]]-attack, finished by another Pass (Drill) or Hit (Reality, Sparring).
It can be performed from the inside and the outside and aims to teach movement flows to both partners
Stance: [[Partner Stand]]
Although it is a drill, both, the Pass and the Backhand should be aimed for the head - you hit the attacking arm by chance due to your correct footwork. Ideally, you should move in a circle when you apply it as a flow drill.
In Bruneian Silat and Kuntao, drills or drilling a movement are known as "Pelampas". Drills are a repetition of correct movements to give you the skills of understanding distance, timing and execution of technique.
When people say "drills" are only present in the Filipino Martial Arts, basically it just shows the limited depth of their martial arts knowledge and training.
When I hear martial artists say there are no drills in their system of martial arts I tend to scratch my head.
There are no secret techniques, to obtain efficient and effective execution of technique you have to train hard to repeat the movement until it becomes second nature, like walking or running, you don't have to think just do when you need to, it should effortless.
Effortless movement in the martial arts requires hard work. Do not be too eager to "know" a technique and rush to learn another one, master the efficiency to execute that said technique, it's no use knowing a technique if you are not efficient in applying it.
You hear people say "he stole my technique", "he copied so & so's technique", when you are efficient in executing the technique, you will understand there is no "copying" or "stealing", you can imitate a movement, but you can't copy confidence, skill, ability and efficiency of technique because it needs to be trained to be applied effortlessly and efficiently. That takes time. You can't really say someone copied if he is moving 100 times better than the other person.
We only drill things that are part of our system and therefore benefit the art as a whole. If you do a drill that do not benefit your system, it is probably not worth the time.

# Inside
The adaption of the Drill to the inside. There aare several possibilites why this could happen. Either you are too slow, you have not enough space to move or you want to set-up a specific counter-move
Stance: Partner Stand

2. **B** RiGelek and RiPass on Sector1 - follow by a LeShield on Sector2; Pullback your left Hand to your LeShoulder
- LeArm holds onto attacking arm until RiBackhand on Sector2, replacing LeArm which goes back into LeHiChamber.
- LeArm stays on the hand to block any counter or could be used with a pass if **A** attacks with RiArm

Different possibilities
- LeInsidePass on A_LeArm + RiThrust
